Fractional General Counsel — $7,500 per quarter

Fractional general counsel at $7,500 per quarter — for clients who have already launched and need a steady counsel lane without open hourly. Opens January 2027.

Who it's for

Clients who completed a launch, registration, or formation engagement (or equivalent) and want recurring access. Not a cold first purchase for brand-new prospects.

What's included

  • First quarter: capped review of existing key documents (scope set at kickoff)
  • First quarter: written project plan for future work
  • Every quarter: two 30-minute calls per month
  • Every quarter: up to about two hours of async email counsel per month
  • Hourly work beyond those calls and email: 20% off the then-current rate (from January 2027: $695 becomes $556 per hour). Extra projects are scoped and quoted first. The discount does not expand the $7,500 quarter.
  • 90-day minimum

Renewals

Each renewal is $7,500 per quarter, and that fee covers only the ongoing calls and email counsel. The first-quarter document review and written project plan are not repeated. Extra projects are scoped and quoted first, and are not included in the renewal. If that extra work is billed hourly, the 20% overflow discount applies. It does not expand the fixed quarter.

Overflow / Beyond the meter

Work beyond the included meter is billed at 20% off the then-current hourly rate (for example, from January 2027: $695 becomes $556 per hour). Extra projects are still scoped and quoted first. The discount applies to that overflow hourly work. It does not expand the fixed $7,500 quarter.

Availability

Opens January 2027. Ask at kickoff on any launch or registration engagement if you want a depth path after close. Until then, work outside a fixed engagement is billed at the standard hourly rate.

What's not included

  • Unlimited Slack or email
  • Large drafting projects inside the fixed quarter (scoped and quoted first; hourly overflow is 20% off the then-current rate and does not expand the quarter)
  • Extra projects on renewal (not included in the $7,500 quarter; scoped and quoted first, with the same 20% hourly overflow discount)
  • Guaranteed same-day turns outside agreed windows
